'A Mighty Wind' Pic and FestivalA Mighty Wind - Parker's the 3rd on the left in the blonde wig

The first picture of Parker from A Mighty Wind came my way, care of Justin (thanks!), which you can see by clicking the thumbnail. Apparently Parker is the third from the left wearing the blonde wig. Looks to me like this is the scene where all the bands perform at Carnegie Hall. Also, Lee over at the Yahoo! Parker group mentions that A Mighty Wind will be playing at the South by Southwest Film Conference & Festival in Austin, Texas between March 7th and 15th. This could very well be it's premiere as there is no word yet as to any other festivals it might be playing, but I will keep you all posted.

This film is going to be hilarious!! Parker put on incredible performances in both "Waiting For Guffman" and "Best In Show." It will be great to see what she comes up with this time around!

Come to think of it, this isn't the first role where she has
been blonde. Parker wore a blonde wig(a really big blonde wig!)
for her role in the "Doom Generation" too.

Actually a recent article mentioned that she is not wearing a wig in the movie, she actually dyed her hair lighter for the role. She then dyed back for Hell on Heels and then redyed it lighter again, the article doesn't say this, but I suspect that she went back because she had to do some reshoots for A Mighty Wind in Sept-Oct 2002. She appears to have liked the lighter color, since recent photos show she has retained it.
