'A Mighty' Concert Series

September 20, 2003
The cast of "A Mighty Wind" played a show in Los Angeles in May and now they're bringing their act to the east coast. Before the release of the DVD on Tuesday, the entire cast, comprised of the three musical acts The Folksmen, Mitch & Mickey, and The New Main Street Singers, will be playing two shows at New York City's Town Hall tonight, and a total of three shows at Washington D.C.'s 930 Club on Sunday the 21st and Monday the 22nd. For more information on the D.C. shows visit the official Nightclub 930 website. One show was apparently already played in Upper Darby, and one show for the 22nd in Boston was cancelled.

i was at the upper darby show and it was INCREDIBLE!! i didn't expect bob balaban and jennifer coolidge to be there...i thought maybe fred willard would show up, too, but no such luck. still, an amazing show. parker threw tamborenes (sp?) to the audience and did a little dance. a friend is telling me that she seemed pretty bitchy at a dc show but she was great in philly!
